During the months of August through December, all Federal Employees are asked whether or not they would like to contribute to charities listed in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) brochure. Charities mentioned in the brochure have to meet the strict criteria of the U. S. Office of Personnel Management (or referred to as OPM), otherwise they are denied participation in the annual CFC fundraising campaign. Payroll deduction allows employees to give to the charities they like and want to support by deducting a predetermined amount (that the employee decides on) from their paychecks every other week. The employee also has the option to give a one time gift to their favorite organization listed in the brochure.
Bible Believers Fellowship, Inc. has been participating in the CFC since 1991 and we are pleased to be listed in the National CFC brochure once again. We have tried to keep our fundraising and administrative costs down as low as possible, therefore enabling your hard earned dollars to be used for the purpose for which you have donated them. Since the year of 1990, and in accordance with our IRS-990 form, an astounding average of 94.5% of all donations given to Bible Believers Fellowship, Inc. were used for Programming Expenses (or in other words, went for the purpose of getting the Gospel of Jesus Christ out to inmates and young people in trouble in institutions across the United States). An average of only 5.5% was used for Administrative and Fundraising Expenses.
Deciding who to give your contributions to is a difficult choice, considering the hundreds or thousands of charities listed in the CFC brochure. Giving should be done with a joyful heart and with great thought and knowledge of the organization to which you are considering making a donation. We hope that as a result of our web site, we have made this decision easier for you and that you will therefore help us to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in correctional facilities nationwide. Crimes are committed because of sin. Therefore, unless those who commit crime hear the Gospel, repent of their lifestyle, accept Jesus as their Savior, and live according to the laws of God and mankind, there will be little hope for them. They will be released from prison in the same condition, or even worst, and approximately one third of them will commit crimes again.
Our CFC donor number in the national brochure is 11463. If you decide to pledge or give a one time gift to Bible Believers Fellowship, Inc., please fill in the pledge card with all pertinent information clearly marked. Filling in the "Name Released To Designated Agency" part of the card will notify us of your decision and we will send you a letter of thanks and a sample newsletter as soon as we receive confirmation from the CFC agency which is usually around April or later of the following year.

The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to the members of Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness. These standards include those required by the US Government for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign, probably the most exclusive fund drive in the world. Of the 1,000,000 charities operating in the United States today, it is estimated that fewer than 50,000, or 5 percent, meet or exceed these standards, and, of those, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this Seal. |
